Search Engine Optimisation
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is one of the most misunderstood digital disciplines. In the years I’ve been working in SEO I’ve seen ‘quick-fix’ guys tank a sites ranking because they didn’t know the backlinks they were creating were bad. I’ve seen sites fail to rank because the owners are still stuck focusing on meta keywords tags thinking it still makes a difference. And I’ve seen rankings rocket and crash as algorithms catch up with spammers. So I believe anyone working in SEO who’s worth their weight in salt needs to be straight-talking in their approach and sensible in the application. Ethical SEO, that’s what I offer.
The first priority of any of my SEO services is to educate. I’m always open about my methods and my main goal is to help my clients understand what’s happening and why, so they can learn from it, build on it and potentially avoid similar mistakes in the future.
SEO Audits are my speciality. Over the years, I’ve developed my own audit template which looks at over 200 different aspects of SEO including things like title tags, redirects, social signals and linking strategy. The audit doesn’t just look on site, it covers a website or brands entire online presence including reviews on sites like TrustPilot and Facebook engagement.
Do You Need An Audit?
That’s a really good question, do you? How confident are you that there are zero issues on your site, you have no dodgy backlinks, you’ve nothing but glowing reviews online and every other part of your website and brand is fully search engine optimised? If you’re completely confident, then genuinely well done, you’ll in a very unique position that pretty much no one can honestly claim without being completely naive. For the rest of us, we need audits.
